Recorded Webinar

This is a recording of the Psychology and NMAHP webinar held on 27th February 2025 and was part of an exciting project involving autistic individuals co-designing resources for health practitioners. Autistic people shared the main issues affecting their access to and experience of healthcare and developed resources for practitioners providing support.

The webinar is suitable for all health and social care staff . This webinar provides the following:

  • Why autistic people wanted these resources to be created.

  • What the resources include.

  • The chance to hear from Allied Health Professionals who are testing the resources and gaining insights into how they can be incorporated into practice.

Presenters:

  • Autistic speakers

  • Inspiring Scotland project leads

  • Allied Health Professionals

"From Fife to Bangkok: Grateful for Fife Health Charity & NHS Fife support"

Following my recent post about receiving conference fee funding from the Elizabeth Casson Trust, I’m delighted to share another piece of good news. Thanks to the generous support of Fife Health Charity, in partnership with NHS Fife, my flights from Scotland to Bangkok and accommodation during the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) Congress 2026 are now funded.

"Reflecting on a Milestone: Sharing My Fellowship Journey with a National Audience"

As I near the end of my AHP Careers Fellowship, funded by NHS Education for Scotland (NES), I’ve found myself reflecting on the incredible journey this past year has been. One of the most meaningful moments came recently, when I had the opportunity to present at our national Celebration Event via a recorded webinar—an event that brought together 88 live attendees from across the country.

"Standing (virtually) in front of a national audience, I felt a deep sense of pride—not just in the work I’ve done, but in the collective spirit of innovation and collaboration that this Fellowship has fostered."

"From Abstract to Acceptance – Speaking at OT Congress 2026 in Bangkok"

Today, I’m absolutely delighted (and still a little stunned) to share that my abstract has been accepted! I’ll be delivering a 12-minute oral presentation at the Congress next year—10 minutes to present, followed by 2 minutes for questions. It’s a huge honour to be part of this global event.
